San Francisco, CA (January 2008) - FIFTY24SF Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Greatest Hits, a solo exhibition that will utilize both gallery spaces to showcase the work of design collective, HVW8. Greatest Hits will be a retrospective marking the 10 years that Heavyweight Art Installation has been collaborating with artists and designers on projects ranging from underground parties, music and art shows, and ephemeral design work. For this show, HVW8 will include small icon-based pieces by Dan and Tyler, two mural installations, new limited edition prints, limited edition re-prints of classic pieces, t-shirts, original music, and a showing of their signature live-painting installation pieces.

Heavyweight Production House formed in 1998 in Montreal, Canada under the direction of Tyler Gibney and Gene Pendon and is now based in Los Angeles with HVW8 Gallery. Recent clients include Adidas, Gravis, MGM/Sony Records, Levi’s, and Absolut. One of the principle artistic projects of Heavyweight Production House is the “Heavyweight Art Installation” which includes Gibney and Pendon as well as Dan Buller. These three artists have collaborated on artistic compositions created live in club settings and before music audiences, using the environment as inspiration. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that captures the spontanaiety of creative response as influenced by the sound, mood, and energy of one moment in time.

The FIFTY24SF Myspace page had not been updated since the glorious date of 6/6/2007, thus we decided that since the password was lost to the mental boundaries of mystery people, we should just start all over. And with that, welcome to the new myspace for FIFTY24SF:

If a tree falls in the forest can you hear it?

This little patch of forest is a lot easier to preserve than the ones you always hear those hippies yelling about. Your own little peace of perfect forest, hold on to it cause in 20yrs it might be the only thing that helps you remember what a real forest looks like.

The Juice is back in the headlines again. We thought this shirt would be fitting since everyone is gunning for the man. Just remember: If the glove don't fit, you must acquit.

What do you think was harder for the Juice to accomplish? Running 2000 yards in one season, or stabbing the shit out of 2 people in one night?
